SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE

Utilizar a regra quando estiver na 3º pessoa do Singular e na forma afirmativa.

Regra Geral: Acrescenta-se -S ao verbo no infinitivo sem to

Se o verbo termina em o, ch, s, SS, sh, x ou z, acrecenta-se –es para formar a 3º pessoa do singular.

Go (ir) - goes

Catch (pegar) - catches

Pass (passar) - passes

Brush (escovar) - brushes

Fix (consertar) - fixes

Caso o verbo termine em Y precedido de consoante, troca-se o y por i e acrescenta-se –es. Sendo o y precedido de vogal, basta acrescentar um –s.

Try (tentar) - tries

Study (esudar) - estudies

Mas

enjoy (gostar) - enjoys

Play (jogar)- plays

FORMA AFIRMATIVA

Sujeito+infinitivo ( - to)

Sujeito + infinitivo (-to) + -s 3ª Pessoa do Singular

I play the piano

She plays the flute

We play different instruments

FORMA NEGATIVA

Sujeito+do not (don´t) + infinitivo (-to)

Sjujeito + does not (doesn´t) + infinitivo (-to) - 3ª Pessoa Singular

He doesn´t like spinach

She doesn´t like spinach

They don´t like spinach

Do+sujeito+infinitive (-to)

Does+sujeito+infinitivo(-to) 3ª Pessoa Singular

Do you go to the movie every week?
